Words (A Poem)

A Poem by William Louison

I can’t believe

That you would say those things to me

I’m quite surprised

How you said those words without cutting your tongue

They were sharp

They were jagged

They were everything I didn’t miss when you were gone

But now you’re here

And I almost realize

How much I enjoyed being alone.

While this picture doesn’t entirely relate to the poem, I thought it was fitting – and also just a little bit cute (in a sick and twisted kind of way).
